The Sugar Act was an act that Great Britain passed upon the colonies in order to make more revenue. It put a huge tax on all sugar products imported into the colonies. This along with many other taxes and fees would cause the colonists to rebel and eventually start the Revolutionary War.
The Stamp Act was passed to also create more tax-revenue for Great Britain. This specifically targeted all paper products imported and exported by the colonies. Parliament repealed the Stamp Act because boycotts were hurting British trade and used the declaration to justify the repeal and save face. The declaration stated that Parliament's authority was the same in America as in Britain and asserted Parliament's authority to pass laws that were binding on the American colonies.
The Townshend Acts crossed the line to the colonists. These Acts would lead to the Boston Massacre.
The last of the Acts was the Tea Act. It was an enormous tax on all tea products. This caused an uproar among colonists and made the Boston Tea Party take place. The Boston Tea Party occurred when several conspiritors snuck onboard a tea ship and dumped all of the tea overboard.
